This is a unique or extremely rare Willow Grouse Toikka bird with a lucent light green head. To our knowledge, there is only one other individual of this model.
Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka and hand made in legendary Nuutajärvi glass factory in Finland.
This bird is shown on page 368 in the new book "Toikka's Glass Birds".
For fun we added a couple of pictures that show this bird posing with two rare, light green Aalto vases that were produced in 1998 for the 100 year jubilee of Alvar Aalto's birthday, and also side by side with an ordinary Willow Grouse. There is a very faint greenish tint over the whole bird compared to the ordinary one.
