Timo Sarpaneva designed the popular Festivo candle holders in 1967. They are made of clear glass and have a typical undulating surface that resembles frozen ice. Festivo candle holders of different size are often used in groups and have ever since the late 60s been very popular in Finnish homes.
Special ball formed 'Festivo candles' are commonly used in these candle holders. These come in different colors and are found on the internet by several providers. Note that the flame has to be put out before the candle has burned down all the way to the glass! This is important!
We are now happy to be able to provide several different sized vintage Festivos in very good condition. Most of these still bear part of the old triangular Iittala sticker that was in use until 1974. The price is for one candle holder. When you click on one of the texts announcing the amount of knots (= the size) then a picture of that candle holder will appear uppermost in the presentation and its price will be shown under the heading and then that very candle holder can be added to the cart!
