This is a special bird designed by Oiva Toikka for the US market - 2500 numbered pieces were produced at Nuutajärvi glass factory in 2002 and shipped to the US and some unnumbered matted II class birds were sold at the factory shop at Nuutajärvi.
The bird is called The Fallingwater red and it is a handsome red bird with yellow beak and yellow-red head. The wings and tail are very beautifully lustered in this individual.
This very beautiful piece is for some reason unsigned. The bird looks like a very good first class individual and is not matted. (The matted versions were signed O.T. II Nuutajärvi). We do not know the story of this individual, so we do not know how this beauty has ended unsigned into a person's collection near the factory instead of flying numbered to the US in 2002.
