Pigeon on foot, designed by famous professor Oiva Toikka was in production 2008-2010. This is an interesting unique variant of this bird because it has its head in an upright position! This makes this individual one of a kind. It is described in the new book "Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka's Glassbirds" on page 356. This bird is signed by Oiva Toikka himself, which is very rare to have. On the last photo you can see this bird together with the normal variant for comparison.
This bird is from a serious collector's Toikka collection and the collector has noted on a sticker underneath the bird that this is a prototype from 23.5.2007.
The bird is hand made in the legendary glass hut in Nuutajärvi, Finland.
