This is a handsome Oraskahlaaja, Annual bird for SSKK in year 2005. These are rarely for sale nowadays. As the other SSKK birds, Oraskahlaaja birds were produced in very limited numbers, only that year and only for SSKK-book store club members to buy.
The bird is made of light green glass with enchanting controlled air bubbles and a light blue head and tail.
This model is found on page 133 in the book "Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka's Glass Birds".
The design is by famous professor Oiva Toikka and the bird is hand made in the legendary glass factory in Nuutajärvi in Finland.
