This is a special commissioned net bird designed by famous glass designer Oiva Toikka in 1991 for PL-yhtiöt. This is named Green Bird. It is extremely rarely seen for sale.
This individual has on a quite dark base a dark green net pattern on both sides as well as in the front part of the body. The head is grass green and along the neck there are vertical light blue striations on the dark blue base, all the way down to the shoulders.
In this individual there are within the tip of the beak some very tiny, foamlike air bubbles.
In the last few pictures you see this, for PL-yhtiöt commissioned bird together with a similar sized, very rare Netbird in clear grassgreen glass with light blue netpattern. A similar grass green one is presented in the new book, Toikka's Glassbirds on page 365. These two birds make a nice couple.

In the old book "Birds by Toikka" this bird is presented on page 137.
