Finnish designer Markku Salo (1954- ) has designed many different dogs made of glass and metal, the earliest being from the 1990s.
In 2013-2020 he designed a series of altogether 9 different Annual Dogs (in 2020 there was a pair of dogs produced). The dogs were produced by the Lasikomppania glass team at their glass hut in Nuutajärvi village, to which Markku Salo belongs and Markku Salo produced the metal parts for these dogs himself.
"Reidar" is the Annual Dog of year 2019. It is blue-grey with white stripes and its tail is green. 100 numbered pieces were produced. This dog is in a Very Good condition although it has a small tension crack close to the opening of the bottle, but not extending into the vertical plane of the opening. See close up views.
