A cobalt blue Trophy by Kaj Franck, KF539, with lemon colored foot, and ruby red base of the foot.
This item is signed Kaj Franck Nuutajärvi Notsjö.
In the last picture you see a photo of this item in a group of other colorful Trophys by Kaj Franck. Kaj Franck was a pioneer in boldly using happy, energizing colors in Finnish glass design.
The Trophys were in production at Nuutajärvi glass hut in 1968-1971. Different sizes and several different color combinations of the KF539 were produced. These items are called "Pokaali" in Finnish.
A special technique was used when combining the different color layers. Colorful art objects like these by Kaj Franck were planned as Art glass items but they can also be used as cheerful small bowls.
This stylish cobalt blue Trophy is in a very good condition.
