Afro-American designer and graphic artist Howard Smith (1928-2021) was born in New Jersey, USA. He moved to Finland in 1962 and since then worked as a designer in Finland and was married to a Finnish ceramic artist, Erna Aaltonen.
The run free -collection by Howard Smith was in production at Arabia factory in the 90:s. The collection contains animals of the African savannah.
The gracile antelope in a beautiful blue color is called "Camilla".
It is 17cm high and 19 cm long. Its weight is 0,44kg.
In this item a minimal piece of the outermost edge of the horn is missing. Because of this the price is considerably reduced. However the defect is hardly detectable when admiring the item at normal distance.
