This Eurasian Wigeon bird was made for Unique days at Iittala in Spring 2007. It is called Lammihaapana in Finnish.
Design by Oiva Toikka. This bird is a rarity, only about 110 pieces made! It is described on page 147 in the book "Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka's Glass Birds"
The fascinating coloring of this bird is stimulating to the imagination. Someone might perhaps find different colors of the sky in this grey-blue bird with a golden brown inner and spots with shining luster. The head is of light, but intensive clear blue glass.
