The Summer Grouse was introduced 2006. Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka. These two birds here are mouth blown in the famous glass blower village Nuutajärvi, in Finland.
In the presentation booklet for the Toikka Collection of year 2006 the Summer Grouse was presented with the words "A new suit for summer".

The signature is rather obscure and difficult to read on the turtoise-shell-like surface of these birds.
