The Marsh Duck is perhaps the most wanted bird of the 12 small birds in the Birds of Passage series.
Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka for the Birds of Passage serie that was produced in years 1991-1997. On the last picture you see a small group of birds from this series.
The Marsh duck changes color in different light because it is made of neodymium glass! It is light blue in fluorescent tube light and purple in bright daylight or warm light, and shows many different shades in between depending on the current wavelength of the light used.
You find this bird model in the book "Birds by Toikka" on pages 33 and 35, and on page 77 in the book "in Oiva's Wonderland.
