Bun plates or saucers for Apila tea cups, 17cm in diameter, of the beautiful Apila series by Birger Kaipiainen, Arabia.
Birger Kaipiainen (1915-1988) is one of the most successful and well known ceramic artists in Finland. The Apila table ware set was for sale in the early seventies, and pieces of this fresh looking set are very sought for.
In the last pictures you see these plates together with other items of this series. These plates can serve as side plates or bun plates but also fit as saucers for our Apila tea cups.
At the moment we have several of these small plates in very good condition. The price is for one plate.
