This is the quite rare Aikon bird that was commissioned for Nokia in year 2001. It has cobalt blue body with controlled air bubbles inside of a surface layer of clear glass, clear head and a black beak. This bird is very rarely seen for sale.
Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka and hand blown in legendary Nuutajärvi glass factory in Finland.
This magnifique bird is described on pages 106 and 278 in the new book "Toikan Lasilinnut-Toikka's Glass Birds".
Last we have a photo showing a beautiful trio of birds, all with the same kind of fantastic controlled air-bubble pattern: the red Kytökuovi 2004 and green Oraskahlaaja 2005, both designed for SSKK, together with this Aikon bird of 2001 for Nokia.
