This is a typical multicolor Trophy bowl by famous Finnish designer Kaj Franck. These items were designed in 1968 and were in production at Nuutajärvi glass hut in Finland in 1968-1971.
Different sizes and several different color combinations of the KF539 were produced. They are called "Pokaali" in Finnish.
This one is the large version, and it is ca 21,5cm high.
It is made of semi opaque glass in a warm Christmas red color. There is a ring of neodymium glass in the foot, which changes color between purple and light blue depending on the wavelength of the light it is located in. See close up pictures.
In the last few pictures you see this bowl together with other Trophys and also an example of a big green Trophy bowl.
A special technique was used when combining the different color layers. Art objects like these by Kaj Franck were planned as Art glass items but they are also usable as cheerful bowls.
This bowl is in an excellent condition.
