This bird was desinged by Oiva Toikka for the Insurance company Teollisuusvakuutus in 1990 to celebrate their 100th Anniversary 1890-1990. A lustred Anniversary bird from the good old times.
These birds are hand made in legendary Nuutajärvi glass factory in Finland.
This one is dark bluegreen with a lot of lustre and a nice filigree pattern. The head is of clear blue glass, that is only slightly lustred, so the blue shows nicely when light hits it. The beak is orange.
