A special glassbird called Taivaanvuohi = Common Snipe in English The design is by famous professor Oiva Toikka. This model was designed in 2003 for Kotiliesi and was later in 2004-2008 also in production for mail order.
The bird is hand made in the legendary Nuutajärvi glass factory in Finland. In 2005 a somewhat similar green design, the Green Lapwing was also introduced.
In the last two pictures you have an opportunity to compare Green Lapwing produced 2005-2008 to the Common Snipe produced 2004-2008. The Common Snipes have eight lustred bands, Green Lapwings have six, also the beaks are different in these bird species. Enjoy!
