Kerttu Nurminen (1943- ) designed in glass at Nuutajärvi and in ceramics for Arabia. These "Runon mailla" (-'at the lands of poetry') Wall Plates represent nostalgic views from the Finnish countryside, and each of them have a short poem in Finnish written on the back.
We have three different items of this series now for sale: The Main building, the Sauna and the Shed.
The poem on the backside of this Shed -wall plate describes a happy feeling of Spring experienced on the path to the Shed:
"...koivikko kolahti, kukkui käki,
kevät heitti aitanpolulla kuperkeikkaa."
These were in production in the 90s at Arabia.
